Biography

Margaret is a passionate higher education leader committed to student success and community engagement. She joins the Office of Community Impact as a Graduate Assistant while pursuing her PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Higher Education) at the University of Kansas.

With over a decade of experience in higher education both in the U.S. and internationally, Margaret brings a strong background in student support and institutional leadership. At KU, she has supported student learning through roles with the Wingspan Writing and Learning Center and the SELF Program.

Previously, she served as Principal of a Technical and Vocational Training Institute in Kenya, where she led the institution’s founding and accreditation, advanced development projects, and championed student-centered initiatives.

Her leadership is grounded in collaboration and transformation—with an unwavering commitment to empower students, ignite community change, and leave a lasting impact; one life at a time.
